Day 1

Airport / Kandy OVERNIGHT STAY AT EARLS’ REGENCY, KANDY

Pick up from the Airport,Thereafter transfer to Kandy.

The World Heritage Site, Kandy, was the last capital of the Sri Lankan Kings, before the country was brought under British rule in 1815. Famous for its rich heritage and splendour, this magnificent city was last ruled by Sri Wickramarajasinghe. The Temple of the Tooth Relic is the most significant highlight of the city along with the Kandy lake, the town and other attractions.

Day 2

Kandy / Pinnawala / Kandy OVERNIGHT STAY AT EARLS’ REGENCY, KANDY

Breakfast at Earls’ Regency Hotel.

After breakfast, visit Pinnawala.

The Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage provides visitors with the best chance of seeing a large number of elephants at close quarters. The orphanage was established in 1975 and commenced with seven orphaned elephants. Today some of these orphans enjoy the fortune of seeing their calfs born in the same location. Assisted by local and foreign elephant experts, Pinnawala commenced a successful captive breeding programme and the first baby elephant was born in 1984. It is most interesting to visit at feeding time to see the baby elephants being bottle fed and the entire herd taken for a bath thereafter to the river near by.

Afternoon visit, the Royal Botanical Gardens of Peradeniya covers approximately 147 acres and attracts over 2 million visitors annually. It is home to over 4,000 species of plants including some of the most beautiful orchids you¿ll ever see. The origins of these magnificent gardens date back to the time of King Wickramabahu the 3rd in 1371. Besides the plethora of plants, the famous Avenue of Palms and the Cannonball Tree planted by King George the 5th of the United Kingdom are key highlights.

Day 3

Kandy / Nuwara Eliya OVERNIGHT STAY AT TEA FACTORY HOTEL, NUWARA ELIYA

Thereafter Proceed to Nuwara Eliya.

Nuwara Eliya has earned a reputation for itself as a preferred destination in the hill country by tourists and locals alike because of its incredibly cool climate and amazing sceneries. Whilst delighting travellers with its awe-inspiring beauty, Nuwara Eliya is also home to one of the finest 18-hole golf courses in South Asia. This town plays a pivotal role in the world’s tea industry as the produce of this region alone accounts for a substantial portion of tea exports.

Day 4

Nuwara Eliya / Horton Plains / Nuwara Eliya OVERNIGHT STAY AT TEA FACTORY HOTEL, NUWARA ELIYA

Thereafter transfer to Horton Plains.

Horton Plains located in the central highlands of Sri Lanka at an altitude of 2,100 to 2,300 metres. Lush greenery and wide-spread grasslands add to the beauty of Horton Plains. The country’s second and third tallest mountain peaks, Kirigalpoththa and Thotupola Kanda are located on the west and north of the plains. The key attraction at Horton Plains is the World’s End, a sheer drop of over 2,800 feet. Tourists and locals alike travel in their numbers to enjoy the amazing view and the thrill that World’s End offers. The beautiful Baker’s Falls is another famous attraction in this region. The Horton Plains park is home to mammals such as samburs, leopards, bears, monkeys and endemic lizards and also many birds and plants.

Nuwara Eliya / Ella OVERNIGHT STAY AT 98 ACRES, ELLA

Breakfast at Tea Factory Hotel.

Thereafter transfer to a tea plantation and a tea factory, where the best tea in the world is produced. Here you could observe all about the process of manufacturing tea. You can also see how tea is graded. Taste a cup of pure Ceylon tea in the factory.

Proceed to Ella. Ella is surrounded with beautiful rocks and mountains, including the towering Ella Rock. So if you are into hiking and mountaineering, you can enjoy some of the most spectacular views of Sri Lanka.

Day 6

Ella / Colombo OVERNIGHT STAY AT CINNAMON GRAND, COLOMBO

Breakfast at 98 Acres Hotel.

Thereafter proceed to Colombo for some last minute shopping.

Colombo is the trade capital of Sri Lanka, and is a city that has undergone rapid changes. While most old buildings have been replaced by new apartments and office buildings, some parts of the city yet retains its old charm. The 100 year old clock tower built by the British and some colonial buildings remain examples. The Independence Square, Nelum Pokuna, Pettah Bazaar and BMICH are some of the main highlights of the city. Colombo also provides ample entertainment in terms of an active night life as well as a shopping experience you’d never forget.

Day 7

Safely transfer to the Airport
